Recently my book was released Consumer Behavior for Dummies by Wiley Publishing. I’m so excited about this book, not because it’s my first published book, but because consumer behavior is so important. It’s really the first step in your marketing strategy. You must understand not only what it is that makes the consumer buy, but how you can plan your marketing strategy around the “why.”

This is the first book released on this level. When I say this level, I mean easy to understand without the marketing jargon. You don’t have to be a professor, psychologist or even a college graduate to understand the concepts within the book – you just have to have the desire to understand your consumers.

Regardless of the publication of the book let me just say do yourself a favor; don’t try to market without understanding your consumers. You will find that when you do have a better grasp of what your consumers need and what they are looking for you market more effecively and you get better results in a cost efficient manner. Get to know your consumers, you’ll be glad you did.
