The various U.S. government departments often run free seminars and workshops for small business. One upcoming seminar is on outsourcing to China. Many U.S. companies are considering outsourcing part of their R&D to China and are concerned about the risks such outsourcing entails, particularly with regard to IP ownership, protection and enforcement. Dr. Philip Zhang of Colley Godward Kronish LLP discusses ways to manage IP risks when outsourcing R&D to China.
