A business plan is a crucial step to starting a business for all kinds of reasons.

But it’s not the first thing you should do when you’ve chosen a business idea you think you might want to develop into a business.

The very first thing you have to do is find out if your business idea is going to work. Or in other words, do the research and the testing to see if what you want to do has a chance of making a profit.

There’s no point in devoting all the time and energy it takes to write a business plan if the business idea you’ve chosen just isn’t feasible.
